Carl Junction is the home of the Bulldogs! Living in “CJ” offers the feel of a suburban neighborhood while still maintaining the comradery of a small town. The Briarbrook subdivision is a golf lover’s paradise, with its community-owned 18-hole public golf course, pool, and clubhouse.
In 1887, there was only a one-room schoolhouse in Carl Junction; now, that has blossomed into a school system that is known state-wide for the achievements of its students, while also offering over 100 extracurricular activities. When community members aren’t busy supporting one another, you can find them at one of the many parks located in CJ, such as the Frank Dean Sports Complex, Memorial Park, and Lakeside Disc Golf Park. There is never a lack of fun activities for the family!
Events like the Carl Junction Bluegrass Festival, the region’s longest continuously running festival of its kind, provide plenty of entertainment for the community. Carl Junction describes this best in its mission statement: “The City of Carl Junction will represent our citizens, provide high-level services, and plan for the future of our community.”
